French rider Sylvain heads them up in Superbike Q2
Sylvain Guintoli (Suzuki Alstare) gave his fellow Frenchmen a boost when he stepped up to set the fastest lap of the two official qualifying sessions at Magny-Cours.
He now enters Superpole qualifying ahead of Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox), with Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia) third fastest and privateer Luca Scassa (Supersonic Ducati) fourth.
Guintoli's team-mate Leon Haslam is fifth fastest, with Superpole qualifying coming later this afternoon to determined final grid positions for the top 20 riders.
